Because they know if you make an investment towards something they are advertising, they are going to make some money..whether it’s a commission on a sale, referral..etc.. They’re in it for themselves..they could care less if you make money.

What i do is a keep the amount of my monthly expenses + $300 in the bank, and invest the rest of my money. $300 covers any monthly emergency.
Thanks to my investments, i also keep ~$1,200 in a savings account for any major emergency.
I made a silly investment of $1,005.00 in a 13 month CD and it has made me close to 0 interest. Can’t wait to get that money in September so I can invest it in more stocks or possibly mutual funds.
